LMU EC Teaching

MISSION:
We educate tomorrow’s entrepreneurial leaders

ACTIVITIES: Offer entrepreneurship courses in all LMU faculties

GOAL: To share our entrepreneurial know-how with over 1,000 persons annually

IMPACT: Entrepreneurial mindsets

TEACHING_081112The LMU Entrepreneurship Center is dedicated to inspiring and qualifying tomorrow’s leading entrepreneurs for careers in creating new ventures as well as bringing entrepreneurship into established organizations.

The LMU EC is committed to providing an innovative curriculum in the field of entrepreneurship. LMU EC courses and seminars prepare participants to pursue careers as autonomous entrepreneurs, as entrepreneurial managers within dynamic corporations ("intrapreneurs") or in the entrepreneurship community (venture capital, consulting, etc).

Particularities of LMU EC Qualification

Integrate the various disciplines of management education (organization, finance, innovation and technology management, marketing etc.) and provide a complete perspective on the challenges of management in start-ups and in dynamic environments in general.

Give insight in entrepreneurial processes, introduce analytical concepts and management tools, teach how to recognize and evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities, write solid business plans, become familiar with venture capital financing, craft growth-oriented strategies and foster a climate of innovation within firms.

Provide hands-on entrepreneurial experience, in individual or team projects as well as real-life testimonies by top guest lecturers

Target Participants

LMU EC university courses and pro-seminars are offered to students in the faculties of biology, chemistry and pharmacy, physics and medicine, where the majority of patent applications at the LMU originate. Students in mathematics, computer sciences, statistics and law can also benefit from entrepreneurship education thanks to targeted courses offered by the LMU EC in their faculties.

The LMU EC regularly organizes Entrepreneurship Seminars outside of the university. These one to three-day seminars are offered to graduate students, post-docs and professors as well as young professionals with interest in entrepreneurial activities.
