The LMU EC is also the creator and organizer of the "Leading Entrepreneurs" guest lecture series, during which entrepreneurs relate their success stories and share their personal tips. These events are for the LMU community as well as the public at large. Featured at these events have been Dr. Thomas Strüngmann, Oliver Samwer and Walter Gunz.
Dr. Thomas Strüngmann is an LMU alumnus who, together with his brother Andreas, grew and sold the generic medicine company "Hexal", making him one of Germany’s most successful entrepreneurs. Oliver Samwer is the co-founder, with his brothers Mark and Alexander, of "Alando" (acquired by eBay) and "Jamba!" (acquired by VeriSign/News Corp.) and current Managing Director of the "European Founders Fund". Walter Gunz is the co-founder of "Media Markt", Europe’s largest retailer of consumer electronics.
